Este domingo se confirm\u00f3 el fallecimiento de Lidia Estela Mercedes Miy Uranga, conocida popularmente como Taty Almeida, a los 95 a\u00f1os<\/b>. La hist\u00f3rica militante por los derechos humanos se encontraba internada en un centro de salud con un pron\u00f3stico reservado que se hab\u00eda agravado en las \u00faltimas horas, seg\u00fan informaron fuentes cercanas a su entorno familiar.<\/p>\n

La vida de Almeida cambi\u00f3 de manera dr\u00e1stica el 17 de junio de 1975, cuando su hijo Alejandro, estudiante de Medicina y militante del PRT-ERP, fue secuestrado y desaparecido. A partir de ese momento, quien hasta entonces se desempe\u00f1aba como maestra y pertenec\u00eda a una familia de fuerte tradici\u00f3n militar, inici\u00f3 una b\u00fasqueda que se extendi\u00f3 por m\u00e1s de cinco d\u00e9cadas<\/b> en diferentes organismos nacionales e internacionales.<\/p>\n

\"TATY<\/p>\n

Con el paso del tiempo, se integr\u00f3 activamente a las Madres de Plaza de Mayo y se convirti\u00f3 en una de las voces m\u00e1s reconocidas del movimiento. Desde el a\u00f1o 2024, se desempe\u00f1aba como presidenta de Madres de Plaza de Mayo L\u00ednea Fundadora<\/b>, espacio desde el cual impuls\u00f3 de manera permanente el reclamo por las v\u00edctimas de la \u00faltima dictadura c\u00edvico-militar y acompa\u00f1\u00f3 los juicios de lesa humanidad.<\/p>\n

Reconocida por su perfil componedor y su permanente contacto con las nuevas generaciones, en abril de este a\u00f1o hab\u00eda recibido el t\u00edtulo Honoris Causa de la Universidad de Buenos Aires por su trayectoria. Tras conocerse la noticia de su deceso, diversos sectores sociales, pol\u00edticos y de derechos humanos expresaron sus condolencias por la p\u00e9rdida de una de las figuras centrales de la historia reciente del pa\u00eds<\/b>.<\/p>\n
