El 11 de diciembre de 2015, un d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de que Cristina Kirchner terminara su mandato, el magistrado dej\u00f3 su cargo en la Justicia.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"banner caja2\" data-adpos=\"caja2\">\n<div id=\"eplAdDivcaja2\">Considerado por muchos como un gran referente en el \u00e1mbito judicial, Fayt <strong>atraves\u00f3 su \u00faltimo tiempo como juez de la Corte en una pelea contra el kirchnerismo tras varios intentos para removerlo.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La informaci\u00f3n fue confirmada por su ex abogado, Jorge Rizzo, quien en una conversaci\u00f3n televisiva cont\u00f3 que Graciela Fayt, la hija del magistrado, le confi\u00f3 la triste noticia, indic\u00f3 <em>La Naci\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Quien era entonces el m\u00e1s antiguo de los jueces de la Corte Suprema <strong>naci\u00f3 en Salta, en 1918<\/strong>. Durante su juventud <strong>milit\u00f3 en el socialismo y a los 40 a\u00f1os, en 1958, apost\u00f3 por la gobernaci\u00f3n de su provincia natal, aunque sin \u00e9xito.<\/strong><\/p>\n<aside class=\"banner caja4\" data-adpos=\"caja4\">\n<div id=\"eplAdDivcaja4\"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Tras una larga carrera como abogado, <strong>asumi\u00f3 su cargo en la Corte Suprema el 21 de diciembre de 1983,<\/strong> cuando ten\u00eda 65 a\u00f1os. Fue designado por el entonces presidente Ra\u00fal Alfons\u00edn. Fue el \u00faltimo juez que quedaba de los cinco nombramientos de ese a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Pese a los estrategias del gobierno nacional de Cristina Kirchner y al l\u00edmite de edad en 75 a\u00f1os que indica la Constituci\u00f3n nacional desde su \u00faltima reforma, en 1994, Fayt no se mostr\u00f3 proclive a abandonar su lugar, hasta septiembre del 2015. El magistrado dedic\u00f3 una breve carta a la ex presidenta en la que anunci\u00f3 su renuncia un d\u00eda despu\u00e9s de que ella terminara su mandato.<\/p>\n<p>El magistrado permaneci\u00f3 en pleno uso de sus funciones hasta el 11 de diciembre pasado.
